At the Watford Pump House our aim is to make our facilities as accessible as possible for all members of our community. If you’ve any questions about whether we can accommodate your particular needs then please contact us.

Wheelchair access

The Pump House has recently installed facilities to make the Main Theatre and Colne River Studio accessible for wheelchair users. We’ve a disabled toilet accessible from both venues.

In order to accommodate wheelchairs in the Main Theatre we’ve adapted a number of seats that can be removed. It’s essential that we know at the time of your booking that you’ll need wheelchair access in order that the seating can be prepared for the performance so please contact the event organiser when you book tickets to arrange.

Please note: for wheelchair users only during the theatre interval it’s possible to have drinks brought into the auditorium.

The Charles Room is also wheelchair accessible but unfortunately, the Rehearsal Rooms are only accessible by using steps.

Hearing impairment

A hearing induction loop is due to be fitted in the Main Theatre very soon, please check at time of booking. Generally front row seats can be allocated at the time of booking if you let the event organiser know in advance.

Dogs for the Disabled

We welcome Dogs for the Disabled, Guide Dogs, and Hearing Dogs. Water for dogs is available on request. Because of the space requirements in the Main Theatre not all seating areas are suitable for patrons with Dogs for the Disabled. Please contact the event organiser when booking to ensure a suitable seat can be allocated. There are no restrictions for patrons with Dogs for the Disabled in the Colne River Studio or the Charles Room.
