How we can help
This site has been designed to support users with visual impairments. The site uses high contrast colours and should respond well if you change the browser zoom or font sizes.
The centre has recently installed facilities to make the Auditorium and Colne River Room accessible for wheelchair users. We have a Disabled Toilet accessible from both venues.
In order to accommodate wheelchairs in the auditorium we have adapted a number of seats that can be removed. It is essential that we know at the time of your booking that you will need wheelchair access in order that the seating can be prepared for the performance.
There are no additional restrictions for wheelchair access in the Colne River Room.
Unfortunately the Upper Rehearsal Studio is only accessible by using steps. the following spaces do have wheelchair access, so please ask for guidance:
- The Theatre foyer and Roskilly Bar
- The Charles Room
Please note: for wheelchair users only during the theatre interval it is possible to have drinks brought into the auditorium.
A hearing induction loop is due to be fitted in the Theatre very soon, please check at time of booking. Generally front row seats can be allocated at the time of booking if you notify us at the time.
Dogs for the Disabled
We welcome Dogs for the Disabled, Guide Dogs, and Hearing Dogs. Water for dogs is available on request. Because of the space requirements in the auditorium not all seating areas are suitable for patrons with dogs for the disabled. Please contact the centre when booking the event to ensure we allocate a suitable seat. There are no restrictions for patrons with dogs for the disabled in the Colne River Room or the Charles Room.
