1959 saw the formation of The Savoy Jazz Band by Barry Palser  just for the fun of the music. It is a popular and very entertaining band, having made many records, cds & videos, appeared on TV  and made national radio broadcasts.

The band has also played at festivals in Holland, Germany, Italy, France, Belgium and Eire, plus of course the UK.

We are, therefore, fortunate to be able to have this band with us at The Pump House this month.

Line-up: Peter Rudeforth (trumpet); Barry Pulser (trombone) ; Tony Teale (reeds); Tony Pitt (banjo/guitar); John Tyson (drums) ; Alan Morgan (bass)
