Belying it's name, the band doesn't just play Dixieland jazz - their flexibility and skill allows them to move from the New Orleans classic period through swing, urban blues and mainstream , with their own arrangement of compositions by some of the more modern jazz greats such as Ellington and Mingus, brings a freshness and variety into their constantly changing programmes, so that the concerts take the form of a musical whistle stop journey through a wide spectrum of jazz styles.
