The HARLEM MEER CATS bring together some of the finest musicians to bring to life the sounds of
the early bands of Duke Ellington and Cab Calloway, around the time of their residencies at New
York's famous Cotton Club. With recent trips to the Keswick and Upton jazz festivals, the Meer Cats
are fast gaining a national reputation for their tight, full-sounding arrangements, authenticity, and
great swinging jazz. Expect such favourites as The Mooche, East St Louis Toodle-oo, Drop Me Off in
Harlem, The Scat Song and many more.
Line-up: Ned Bennett (reeds/leader); Ben Cummings (trumpet); Jeff Williams (trombone);
