Far from the Madding Crowd

Far From The Madding Crowd is a vibrant insight into life in Dorchester and Thomas Hardy’s England. We are transported along the road by the journey of the beautiful Bathsheba Everdene, probably the first great feminist role in the theatre, as she fights to be independent in a man’s world and deal with three very different suitors and a huge farm that she inherits.
Thomas Hardy’s epic tale of love, tragedy, desire and regret was specially adapted for the English Touring Theatre by Mark Healy and this production will tell the iconic story through vivid stage effects, powerful scenes, wonderful dancing and movement and spectacular music from the period.
Featuring a talented cast, Rickmansworth Players are proud to present a theatrical adaptation of this fascinating story, which is not to be missed.
